Hangar51 Software was formed in 2002 as a sole proprietorship in Minnesota by Bob and Gina Schneider of Excelsior, MN. Hangar51 Software's first product was a Windows-based product for school behavior management called "Detention Tracker." A second endeavor involved fitness event management and timing, called Virtual Race Assistant (http://www.myvira.com/). Shortly thereafter the decision was made to move all services to web-based platforms in anticipation of a connected and mobile world. This focus continues today.

In 2003, eTRaXC (http://www.etraxc.com/) was born as a way to assist cross-country, track & field, and fitness club coaches to manage their teams. There are currently in excess of 250 high schools, colleges, and fitness clubs in the United States and Canada.

In 2008 work on Cumulo Learning began. It was built in cooperation with St.John the Baptist Catholic School & Church in Excelsior, MN. In 2010, St, James Lutheran School in Lafayette, IN became involved. In 2011, Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Painesville, OH subscribed to the service. All three schools continue their use today. The three schools have been instrumental in preparing the service for its full-market release for the 2012-13 school year.

In 2011, Hangar51 Software became H51 Software, LLC. This move was made to accommodate the growth of the company. Its offices were moved from a home-based operation to its current location in Minnetonka, MN and its servers were moved to BHI/Secure Connect to ensure 24/7/365 accessibility.

Also in 2011, My-eTRaXC (http://www.my-etraxc.com/) was introduced as a participants-only version of eTRaXC as well as a free, stand-alone personal fitness manager. There are already in excess of 10,000 individual users of eTRaXC/My-eTRaXC.
